The place to eat Poutine in Toronto? Poutini’s Home!

[ad_1]

Poutini is one of the best typical foods in Canada, but you have to eat it in the right place. In Toronto, I tried several recommended restaurants and only one exceeded expectations: Poutini’s, House of Poutini.

For those who don’t know, Poutine is a plate of fried potatoes covered with gravy sauce (meat with pepper) and pieces of melted cheese. But, in this one at the House of Poutine in Toronto, you can choose from different flavors like bacon, smoked meat, smoked meat and even vegetarian poutini.

I chose the BBQ Pork Poutini, which came topped with tender pulled pork. The main flavors on the menu, with their prices:

  • Traditional Poutine: 9.15 and 6.60 CAD
  • Layered Poutine: 11.65 and 9.15 CAD
  • The Bacon Poutine: 12.20 and 9.15 CAD
  • The Works Poutine: 12.70 and 9.75 CAD
  • BBW Pork Poutine: 12.70 and 9.75 CAD
  • Smoked Meat Poutine: 12.70 and 9.75 CAD
  • Vegan Poutine: 9.66 and 7.10 CAD
  • Roasted Onion & Roasted Mushroom Poutine: 12.35 and 11.90 CAD

This average price of 12.70 Canadian dollars, worth R$ 35 in today’s exchange rate, can be considered cheap in Toronto. Even more so because it is not simply a snack. This large portion of poutine will feed two adults well at one meal.

In addition to the different flavors and high quality of this poutine in Toronto, it is worth mentioning the excellent service I received at the store, even with the rush of employees. By the high volume of takeaway boxes leaving, you can tell that the restaurant is really appreciated.

By the opening hours, you can see that the house is a classic after-party in Toronto. Greasy food to feed the souls of wanderers. So much so that I found out about it by watching The Layover, which I consider to be one of the top 3 travel shows on TV. This unit I visited is on Queen Street, so it goes well with a tour of Little Portugal.
